The "Resealed Pack" Trap: How to Spot Fake MLP Kayou Boxes
More Evil Than Fakes?
Most collectors know how to spot a fake card. But recently, I’ve noticed many friends don't know about something even more dangerous: "Resealed Packs". To be honest, I find resealed packs much more malicious than fakes. A fake is just a fake, but a resealed pack is a calculated scam—and I’ve been a victim of it myself.

We all dream of pulling that ultra-rare card. Take Moon 8 for example: the odds of pulling a top-tier Hidden ZR are 1:6480. That means you’d have to open about 360 small boxes (or 10 giant master cases!) to find just one.

Because these cards are so valuable, some dishonest sellers buy authentic boxes, carefully open them to "search" for the hits, and once they find the rare cards, they put back lower-rarity cards and reseal the foil. They make money twice: selling the rare singles and selling you a "dead" pack where you have zero chance of winning.
The Worst Case: Mixing Real and Fake
If you think that’s bad, the second scenario is even more evil. Some sellers strip out every good card and replace them with fake cards mixed with common authentic ones. This makes it incredibly hard for a beginner to tell what’s real. It’s a mess of deception that ruins the joy of collecting.

Why I Won’t Let This Happen to You
I remember when I was a college student, saving up every cent for week just to buy a box, only to realize I had been scammed by a "resealed" seller. It was devastating. These sellers don't understand what these cards mean to us—they aren't just paper; they are our passion
That’s why at Amber's Pony Cove, I personally inspect every single order before shipping to ensure there is ZERO chance of resealed or fake products.
My Promise to All Buyers:
I want to empower you to protect your hobby. That’s why I’ve turned my years of inspection experience into a comprehensive, Image-Only Digital Detection Guide.
Whether you are buying from the Cove or elsewhere, this visual guide will be your second pair of eyes to spot a scam before you even open the box.
Don’t let the scammers win. Let’s keep the magic authentic.
